Hello Soap Fans! I recently played an FBI Agent on 2 episodes of “The Young & The Restless.”! No lines…but I was extremely featured. So grateful for the opportunity. I’ve been learning so much about soap acting by just hanging out on the set. More to come! View Video Here

My new show: The Women Of Brewster Place
Hey…
I know it’s been entirely too long since I’ve last made a post on this here blog. Please forgive me! Since my last post, I’ve been in Los Angeles and hit the ground running. I haven’t abandoned my Atlanta roots by any means, but I’m working on a fabulous show!

The West Coast Premiere of “The Women Of Brewster Place” the musical. You may remember when Oprah Winfrey did this movie back in the 80′s. I loved the novel and movie and was elated when I got cast.
We opened on April 23rd, and we have been getting excellent attendance and reviews.

If you are in the LA area, please come check me out doing my thang! I have a BIG juicy role. I'm sure you will enjoy!
Alaskan Glacier & Wildlife Cruise
I had the pleasure of taking a cruise my second week in Anchorage, Alaska. We drove 2 hours away to Seward, Alaska and caught a boat. The cruise was 9 hours long!!!!!!! It was worth every penny and every hour. Please watch the entire video to get a glimpse of what I experienced.
Making The Move To Los Angeles

Some say if you want to make it as an actress you’ve either got to be in New York or Los Angeles. I’m inclined to agree.
I’ve been living in Georgia on and off since the 90’s and have had the opportunity to experience many things. Being the bigger fish in a smaller pond has its perks. You’re able to hone your craft and make a name for yourself on a local level. I’ve been able to be in movies and theatre that probably would have been much harder had I started out in New York or LA. I think it’s always better to head to one of those cities once you have a resume on you already. Just starting out in those markets is extremely hard and frustrating.
With that said, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s time for me to make the to move to Los Angeles. I want to make some contacts there and take my career to the next level. I plan on keeping my contacts in Georgia (they were hard to get ya know) and doing the bi-coastal thing. I love living in the south, but I know it is time.
I’m originally from Bronx, New York and I’m not in too much of a rush to head back to the hustle and bustle that only New York has. When I performed on Broadway last summer with “The Lion King” I dreaded having to take the train and deal with all of those New Yorkers day to day.
I’m excited about Los Angeles and all of its possibilities. I’ll be essentially starting from ground zero. I’ll have to search for agents, managers and workshops so that I’m able to network. I’ve learned from other actors and actress that you’ve got to do your own homework. Don’t just wait for your agent to call you.
I’ll be doing some video postings on my agent search. Perhaps you might be looking for the same thing as I am.
I’m truly going on faith that this next step is right one. The journey continues!!!
Until next time, stay inspired.

Performing with The Lion King at The White House
My Visit To the White House on September 15, 2008
If Barack was already in office I would have lost my mind!!! It was still a wonderful experience!
Your Favorite T.B.A. lands in Anchorage, Alaska
Hey yall! I decided to send you a quick hello from the air. This tall black actress has some long legs and I think I’ve just reached my 7th hour of flying time today and I’m just trying to maintain my cool. I’ve got 2 more hours to go so I don’t have much choice. At least I got a window seat and I’m seating next to a sweet old couple who offered me some of their chex mix earlier.
So why the long flight? I’m headed to Anchorage, Alaska for 6-weeks to perform with “The Lion King.” I promise to bring my camera to work everyday just in case Ms. Palin decides to make a cameo!
I hear that Alaska is beautiful even though it can get pretty cold. I don’t like being so far away from home, but it seems like it has the possibility of being a wonderful experience. I’m hoping to take some tours of the glaciers and catch some pics of the moose in town.
I think its time for another nap now…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Until next time, stay inspired.

Anyway, I said all that to say I got motivated to write in my blog.

Seattle has been kind to us as far as weather is concerned. Not too much rain or snow. But my legs are getting the workout of a lifetime with all of the HILLS they have here! LOL

Christine Horn Mentioned in “Ebony Magazine”
In this month’s Ebony Magazine a feature was written about Black Actor’s on Broadway. My name was listed on page 142 as a cast member of “The Lion King.” What an honor to see my name in PRINT!
My BROADWAY debut
Greetings,As you know, I’ve been touring with Disney’s “ The Lion King” since 2006. The tour I was on closed on March 3rd. I’ve been enjoying my time back home in Atlanta, working on music and acting. As I was prepping for my welcome back party this Wednesday, I got a phone call that made my dreams come true…I MADE IT TO BROADWAY!!!
Ever since I was little, all I ever wanted to do was sing and act. My mother Valerie took me to see all kinds of shows and put me in dance classes. Never forced…I loved every minute of it. I was always an “artistic type”…maybe because I’m a Sagittarius…maybe because I grew up an only child for 15 years and constantly talked to myself…who knows. LOLTo make a long story short, I’ve re-joined my “Lion King” family in New York City on Broadway. I’m filling in for a cast member on medical leave. Though this is a temporary arrangement…I’m proud to say I MADE IT! If I died tomorrow, please know that I lived a FULL life and fought long and hard for my dreams. FREE SHOW IN ATLANTA THIS WEDNESDAY, June 25thVisit http://www.chocolatesuperstar.com/ for details if you forgot…Do me a favor…take two minutes out of your busy schedule today and think about your dreams. What was it that you said you ALWAYS wanted to do? Are you close to doing it? Never let your FEAR stop you. Stop listening to those folks who say you can’t do it, because they speak from their own FEAR. Regardless of what ANYBODY says, dreams DO come true.Until next time…
Stay inspired,Christine Horn
